CSP Dance Studios in Albuquerque, New Mexico, offers group classes and private lessons in a wide variety of partner dancing.
If you’re ready to dance, you may have some questions about our classes.
Some questions we are most often asked include:
Should I take group classes or private lessons?
We recommend that you take both! Private lessons offer the individual attention needed to focus on your specific needs and group classes are a great supplement to your private lessons. They offer the opportunity to dance with someone other than your teacher, as well as with students who are the same level as you.
What should I wear to dance class?
Comfortable clothing is always a great idea. When it comes to shoes, we recommend proper dance shoes, which we carry in our studio. If you don’t have proper dance shoes, wear something you would wear out social dancing that allows you to spin and turn without sticking to the floor.
I’m new to dance. What class is right for me?
Our basic classes approach the dance as if you’ve never done it before. Also, private lessons are a great place to learn the basics and improve upon them.
I have two left feet. Is it possible for me to dance?
Yes, all of our instructors are qualified to teach beginners as well as intermediate and advanced dancers. As teachers, nothing excites us more than to show someone that they can do something they never thought they could do.
How long will it take me to learn to dance?
It only takes one lesson to get you on the floor and moving. We find that most people fall in love with the classes, whether private or group, remain students for many years. Dance lessons are a great hobby and you will find many benefits to taking them. These include stress relief, social interaction, an activity with your significant other, health benefits, building confidence and overall fun, fun, fun.
